Special Education Needs and Disability Information
All students at SST have equal access to the extensive curriculum. Our SEND department operates in line with the Code of Practice laid down by the Department for Education. This enables all students to make progress in line with their academic potential.
We monitor the progress off all students, including those with SEND. We rigorously evaluate the effectiveness of our approach to SEND within the school, and the effectiveness and impact of provisions that we have put in place to meet cohort, group and individual needs.
The school makes use of a wide number of funding strands in order to ensure that students are also able to be involved in a range of extra curricular activities and can take advantage of the additional opportunities available to the students and their families.
A detailed strategic analysis and evaluation of SEN provision, practice and outcomes is prepared on an annual basis, and this is shared with the Senior Leadership Team, governors and Trust Board. It is also used to inform the planning for and development of provisions and practices for the year ahead.
