Splendid Drama Workshop

SST was thrilled to welcome Kerry Frampton, the artistic director of Splendid Productions, for two engaging and inspiring drama workshops on Thursday, 30 January. Open to both Drama GCSE students and those passionate about theatre, the workshops provided an invaluable opportunity to develop performance skills and build confidence on stage.
During the first session, students explored the power of shapes in performance, using prompts such as transitions and emotions to bring their ideas to life. Kerry’s dynamic approach encouraged creativity, and students left feeling more inspired and confident in their abilities.
In the second session, GCSE students focussed on different ways to devise theatre and break down barriers to it. They all created short performances using fairytale stories mixed with hard hitting facts about foodbanks in the UK. All the students gained so much from this experience!
Having such a highly acclaimed theatre practitioner lead these sessions was an incredible experience, and we look forward to more opportunities like this in the future!
