Year 7 Rugby Match

History was made at SST on Wednesday, 22 January, as we proudly hosted our first-ever rugby match. Our Year 7 team gave an outstanding performance against The Malling School, a strong opponent from a league above, showing remarkable determination and teamwork throughout.
The game was evenly matched at halftime with a 5-5 score, as Jack in 7L secured SST’s first-ever try, marking a significant moment in our sporting history. Despite a determined effort in the second half, Malling scored two late tries, ending the game 5-15. Jack was named Man of the Match for his incredible efforts on the pitch.
Although the final score wasn’t in our favour, the match was an unforgettable milestone for SST Rugby, and we are so proud of our team. We look forward to building on this experience and seeing even more great performances in the future!
